About AICF


AICF - Antalya International Choir Festival - aims to promote and to present the Choir Art, to promote composers of certain time periods through their works, to provide cultural and touristic development/promotion of the wider area of Antalya and finally, to establish the Festival as an important cultural event which promotes the qualities of Choir Art. AICF will take place from 03- 07 April 2013 which allows choirs to feel the synergy of Choir Art during 4 nights 5 days all in a fantastic city of Antalya, capital of tourism of Turkey. – the world's paradise; center of antiquity and natural beauties- . Either mixed choirs, homogeneous choirs or youth and children choirs may attend to the festival.Through that passed 4 years different choirs arround the worl attended to the festival; from Philippines, Greece, Bulgaria, Letonia, Latvia, Israel, Macedonia, Romania, Slovenia…etc. AICF will ensure that your visit is full of activities to excite, engage and inspire your choir. These can be a mixture of fun, cultural visit and educational experiences.

Antalya International Choir Festival is organised by the cooperation of Antalya Main Municipality and SMARTS organisation. All the activities in The Festival will be organised at -the most famous and grandest cultural center and concert area- Ataturk Culture Center which is in the city center of Antalya as the previous festivals.

As being the 5th anniversary of the festival, the organizing commitee has made a special program for the 2013 edition. This year, it is planning to organise a big concert performance of "Carmina Burana" by Carl Orff with the mixed choirs selected from festival attendants and Antalya State Symphony Orchestra together. At least 150 chorists and 100 professional orchestral musicians will be perfoming on the stage. Besides popular soloist arriving from europe will be performing together with the choirs and the orchestra as well. The concert is going to be conducted by a Russian Orchestral and Opera Conductor Vlademir Altschuler. Three mixed choirs selected by organisation commitee will be supported by an amount of 1250 €.
